Diving

Ocean Vida Beach & Dive Resort does not have its own dive center, but instead we are partner with Sea Explorers: a PADI 5 Star dive center with 15 years of experience in Malapascua Island and more than 30 years in other locations around the Philippines, making it one of the leading dive centers in the country.

In 2015, the dive center was nominated by the German dive magazine “TAUCHEN” as one of the top 3 dive centers in the Indo-Pacific region.

Diving Around Malapascua

Malapascua became most famous for its regular sightings of the worldwide rare, Thresher Shark.
This species can be seen at Monad Shoal year-round during the early morning dives which take place before sunrise. Different species of rays and whitetip reef sharks are also often spotted on the sunken island called Monad Shoal. Lucky divers even have the chance to see the graceful manta ray passing by at the cleaning station here.
Another highlight of diving around Malapascua are the evening, sunset dives around the Lighthouse where the beautiful mandarinfish can be spotted performing it mating ritual.

Most divers are surprised at the great biodiversity on the sites around Malapascua, as they offer a great range of macro, muck and wall diving.
